The Day Travel Changed Me
When traveling abroad, you have to prepare for the unexpected. Without fail, the weather won’t cooperate when you want it to, or the park you had planned to visit will be closed. In my journeys overseas, there have been many times when things didn’t go as planned. Until one day in Asia, when an elderly concierge changed my perspective.
This is a story about what to do in an unforeseen travel situation. You can react with surprise: “What! The gelateria is closed?” Or you can recognize it for what it is, and explore alternate adventures that await you. Who knew I could have a fantastic vacation, even while soaking wet.
